LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Reed arrested Kelly Joan Hoskins age 43 of Manchester on Friday morning September 1, 2023 at approximately 8:38 AM.
The arrest occurred in a business parking lot off Johnson Road near London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a female subject apparently slumped over the steering wheel of a gold colored GMC Envoy.
When Deputy Reed arrived at the scene he noted observing a female subject in the driver seat. This individual was requested to exit the vehicle and Deputy Reed conducted an investigation determining that this individual was under the influence.
In addition, during the investigation this individual gave Deputy Reed a false name.
Deputy Reed determined her true identity and determined that she was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The subject stated that she gave a false name because she knew there was an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
Kelly Joan Hoskins was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substance
- Giving officer false identifying information
In addition, she was charged on a Laurel Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court – drug court regarding charges of:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
