MADISONVILLE, KY – The Kentucky State Police, Post 2, in Madisonville, was contacted just after 6:00 P.M. Thursday by the Hopkins County Detention Center regarding an escaped inmate.
The initial investigation alleges Charles A. Woodward, 41 years old of Madisonville, KY, escaped custody from a work release program.
Woodward was assigned work release at Madisonville Tire and Retreading. He was last seen at approximately 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
He is described as being 6’1” tall, weighing 145 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a gray Madisonville Tire uniform with gray pants, and a white undershirt. Woodward has multiple tattoos on both arms.
Charles Woodward was serving a sentence for:
- Two counts of Burglary
- Three counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking
