LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that, Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Noah Ritchie arrested a Laurel County woman on Friday morning August 4, 2023 at approximately 6:48 AM.
Hennessey La Shae Tevis age 25 of Pine Top Road, London was arrested on Old Crab Orchard Road, approximately 3 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a non-injury traffic crash there.
Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Houston noted observing a tan colored Ford Explorer in a ditch and blocking a traveled portion of the roadway.
Deputy Houston attempted to conduct an investigation however the driver refused to exit the vehicle and began yelling and screaming and cursing at Deputy Houston.
When Deputy Richie arrived at the scene both deputies continued to attempt to get the driver to exit the vehicle, however she would not.
The driver was removed from the vehicle and continued to create a disturbance.
The driver, Hennessey La Shae Tevis was determined to be under the influence. Tevis was arrested and transported to jail.
Hennessey Tevis was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
- Resisting arrest
- Menacing
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
