Pulaski County Man Urinates on Himself and Police Officers during Complaint Arrest in London, Kentucky

LONDON, KY - The London Police Department is reporting that a severely intoxicated man who passed out with his foot on his car’s gas pedal created a noisy ruckus that lasted about two hours before irritated neighbors finally called London Police.

Yoel Vera Rodriguez, 36, of Kentucky Avenue, Somerset, KY was arrested at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 by London Police Cpl. Ben Webb.

According to Cpl. Webb’s report, officers were dispatched to a call on Reams Lane in reference to a person revving his car engine loudly for approximately two hours.

Officers found Rodriguez passed out behind the wheel with his foot on the gas pedal and the vehicle in park.

Rodriguez was in and out of consciousness and had to be physically removed from the vehicle. He was severely intoxicated and had multiple open containers of the alcoholic beverage Natty Daddy in the passenger seat.

Yoel Vera Rodriguez could not walk to the police cruiser and had to be carried by officers. He urinated on himself and police officers.

Field sobriety tests could not be administered because of Rodriguez’s severely intoxicated state. He could not stand or sit up without help from officers.

Yoel Rodriguez was charged with:

  • DUI
  • No operator’s license
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Resisting arrest and other traffic charges

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
