LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen arrested James Hicks age 19 of London on Friday night June 30, 2023 at approximately 8:58 PM.
The arrest occurred on Byble Road, approximately 5 miles South of London after Deputy Allen was dispatched to an injury traffic crash there.
While conducting his investigation he noted detecting the odor of alcoholic beverages and marijuana emitting from one of the 2 drivers there.
An investigation was conducted on the driver who was determined to be under the influence.
James Hicks was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
