LONDON, KY (May 26, 2023) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root and London City Police Chief Chuck Johnson announce that: Following a joint investigation conducted by the Laurel County Drug Interdiction Task Force, in a cooperative effort with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department arrested William H. Marquez, age 41 of Corbin, KY on Friday, May 26, 2023, at approximately 8:30 A.M..
The arrest was in connection with a criminal arrest warrant for:
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Fentanyl)
- Trafficking in a misrepresented controlled substance
At the time of the arrest, a search warrant for Marquez’s residence was executed at Bottom Street in the Woodbine community of Whitley County.
William H. Marquez was lodged in the lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center where he is being held on a $25,000.00 cash bond.
The Laurel County Drug Interdiction Task Force remains committed to partnering with surrounding law enforcement agencies.
