LONDON, KY (April 26, 2023) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston along with shift Sgt. Brett Reeves arrested Michael Wayne Gross age 47 of London on Tuesday afternoon April 25, 2023 at approximately 1:36 PM.
The arrest occurred off Sasser School Road after deputies were dispatched to an assault complaint off Payne Trail approximately 2 miles east of London.
When deputies arrived at the scene they contacted the female victim and learned that allegedly a male subject had grabbed her dragging her onto the floor.
The male subject then left the residence before deputies arrived at the scene.
Deputies canvassed the area and located the suspect nearby determining that he was under the influence charging him with assault – 4th degree; public intoxication – controlled substances.
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
