LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Greg Poynter arrested Cody Lee Marcum age 26 of East Bernstadt on Tuesday afternoon March 14, 2023 at approximately 12:53 PM.
The arrest occurred at a business off old KY 30 approximately 5 miles north of London after Deputy Poynter was dispatched to a complaint of a male subject inside the business with a syringe laying next to him.
Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Poynter located the suspect and conducted an investigation determining that the individual was under the influence.
Cody Marcum was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Giving officer false identifying information
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
