LONDON, KY - The London Police Department is reporting that on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 5:37 P.M., careless driving, a busted tail light and an improper registration plate led to the arrest of a London man
The arrest occurred on South U.S. 25 after London Police Cpl. Ben Webb observed a vehicle traveling south on U.S. 25 with a busted tail lamp and swerving from lane to lane. The vehicle was a Monte Carlo passenger car, but had a tag belonging to a Chevy pickup.
After stopping the vehicle, Cpl. Webb determined through investigation that the driver, identified as Roger D. Young, 50, of Old Richmond Road, London, KY was driving on a DUI suspended license. Mr. Young was taken into custody and transported to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
In addition to the DUI suspended license, Roger Young was charged with:
- Failure to transfer a motor vehicle
- Improper display of registration plates
- Careless driving
- No registration plate
- No registration receipt
- Improper equipment
- Other traffic charges
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
