LONDON, KY (February 16, 2023) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler along with Deputy Noah Ritchie and Maj. Robbie Grimes arrested Marvin Collins age 58 of East 80 Church Rd., London on Wednesday evening February 15, 2023 at approximately 5:17 PM.
The arrest occurred on Glenview Road, approximately 1 mile west of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of an alleged intoxicated male harassing customers trying to sell pills and refusing to leave a business off Pine Top Road.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies were advised that the suspect had left walking toward East Bernstadt.
Deputies located the suspect on Glenview Road and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence.
In addition, this subject was found in possession of pills.
Marvin Collins was charged with:
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
