SPRINGFIELD, KY – On January 26, 2023 at approximately 6:54 A.M. EST, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 15 Troopers responded to a two-vehicle injury collision on KY 555 near Mayes Creek Rd. in Washington County.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Jadin Coleman, age 19 of Willisburg, was traveling south on KY 555 in a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier when he lost control of his vehicle and enter the northbound lane of travel. Mr. Coleman then collided with a 2021 Ford Transit van that was traveling north on KY 555. The Ford Transit van was being operated by Jason York, age 28 of Lebanon.
Mr. Coleman was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Washington County Coroner. Mr. York was transported to Springview Hospital with minor injuries.
KSP Post 15 Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Fire and EMS, Washington County Rescue Squad, and Washington County Coroner. The collision remains under investigation by Senior Trooper Brandon Roark.
