MANCHESTER, KY (June 29, 2022) - Earlier today ClayCoNews was contacted by a reader asking why an arrest by the Clay County Sheriff's Office in connection to the sexual abuse of a child in Clay County hadn't been reported in our publication.
The answer was very simple, there had been no press release issued to ClayCoNews nor did the Clay County Sheriff's Office report the arrest on their Facebook page.
However, we informed the reader that we would see if any information was available to us concerning the alleged incident and if so, report on it.
The PR Officer for the Clay County Sheriff's Office was contacted regarding the alleged arrest and he told us that another deputy was the case officer on it, so he was not familiar with the case.

According to the Clay County Detention Center's records in JailTracker: Ryan Hatfield age 33 of Manchester, KY 40962 was arrested on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 and booked into jail at 3:01 P.M.
Ryan Hatfield is charged with:
- SEXUAL ABUSE, 1ST DEGREE, VICTIM U/12 YEARS OF AGE
- SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT
Hatfield is currently lodged in the Clay County Detention Center as of 3:30 P.M on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 with no bond or court date listed.
