FRANKFORT, KY – House Bill 214 created nine new Judgeships by 2022 redistricting.
Secretary of State Michael Adams reminds attorneys interested in running for one of the nine newly formed judgeships to file with his Office by June 7 at 4:00 P.M. ET.
New judicial seats:
- Circuit Judge Family Court, 3rd Judicial Circuit, Division 4 (Christian)
- Circuit Judge Family Court, 6th Judicial Circuit, Division 4 (Daviess)
- Circuit Judge, 8th Judicial Circuit, Division 5 (Edmonson and Warren)
- Circuit Judge Family Court, 14th Judicial Circuit, Division 4 (Bourbon, Scott, and Woodford)
- Circuit Judge Family Court, 15th Judicial Circuit, Division 2 (Carroll, Grant, and Owen)
- Circuit Judge Family Court, 16th Judicial Circuit, Division 6 (Kenton)
- Circuit Judge, 25th Judicial Circuit, Division 5 (Clark and Madison)
- Circuit Judge Family Court, 27th Judicial Circuit, Division 4 (Knox and Laurel)
- Circuit Judge, 56th Judicial Circuit, Division 2 (Caldwell, Livingston, Lyon, and Trigg)
Candidates for these seats must file a Court of Justice Petition for Nomination with the Office of the Secretary of State and include a $200 filing fee made payable to the Kentucky State Treasurer.
Candidates must also e-file a Statement of Spending Intent and Appointment of Campaign Treasurer form (KREF 001 form) online at KREF.KY.GOV.
