LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Travis Napier arrested John T. Sizemore age 23 of Pearl Street, London on Saturday evening September 25, 2021 at approximately 6:33 PM.
The arrest occurred on KY 30 approximately one half mile north of London after deputies were dispatched to a possible drug complaint on Twin Branch Road involving a gray colored Jeep Renegade.
While enroute to the complaint Deputy Napier met a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle and Deputy Napier turned and activated his emergency equipment conducting a traffic stop on KY 30.
Deputy Napier noted that the vehicle he stopped had no registration plate on the vehicle.
In addition, it was learned that the driver had an outstanding warrant for arrest, and was driving on a DUI suspended license.
During the resulting investigation, Deputy Napier requested a K-9 to assist.
London City Police K-9 Officer Dillion Blair and his K-9 “Dora” (right) were in the vicinity and assisted with a walk around the vehicle and alerted on the vehicle for the presence of narcotics.
Suspected Methamphetamine and scales were recovered in possession of the driver.
John T. Sizemore was charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Driving on DUI suspended license – first offense
Sizemore was also charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root stated that drug investigations and arrests will continue in Laurel County.
Also assisting on the investigation were Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Dustin Saylor and Deputy Dylan Messer.
