LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Landry Collett along with Deputy Justin Taylor and Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Phillip Wayne Skidmore age 47 of Skidmore Cemetery Lane, Cranks, KY early Wednesday morning May 19, 2021 at approximately 3:19 AM.
The arrest occurred on Cumberland Gap Parkway approximately 10 miles South of London after Deputy Collett observed a silver Chevrolet Silverado pickup exceeding the speed limit and weaving on the roadway.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was determined to be under the influence.
In addition, this subject was found in possession of:
- A large quantity of Oxycodone and Oxymorphone
- A sum of US currency
Phillip Wayne Skidmore (right) was charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Opiates
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense
- Possession of Drug paraphernali
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense
- Speeding 17 mph over the speed limit
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
