LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Hobie Daugherty along with Deputy James Fox arrested one adult male and took a 17-year-old female juvenile into custody early Sunday morning May 16, 2021 at approximately 1:15 AM.
Deputies were dispatched to a complaint of refusal to leave a residence not belonging to an adult male and a juvenile female off American Greeting Card Road approximately 9 miles South of London.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies located the two individuals in a back bedroom finding the two in possession of:
- Suspected Methamphetamine
- Baggies
- Scales
- Grinders
- Smoking pipes
- A handgun
- Methamphetamine precursors
The two individuals who were charged were identified as:
Kenneth Todd Hines II age 23 of London, KY charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense more than 2 grams of Methamphetamine
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense
- Possession of Drug paraphernalia
- Unlawful possession of Meth precursor – first offense
- Endangering the welfare of a minor
- Unlawful transaction with a minor – first offense – illegal controlled substance – under 18 years of age
- Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
In addition, this individual was charged on a Laurel District Court warrant of arrest obtained by Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor charging:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug paraphernalia
In addition, this individual was charged on a Laurel Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Probation revocation regarding charges of burglary – first-degree
- Burglary – third-degree
- Criminal mischief – first-degree
- Theft by unlawful taking – firearm
- Two counts of probation violation
A 17-year-old female juvenile from Corbin, KY was charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense
- Possession of Drug paraphernalia
- Unlawful possession of Meth precursor – first offense
The adult male was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
The 17-year-old female juvenile was released to her legal guardian through the court designated worker pending proceedings in juvenile court.
