LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler along with Deputy Travis Napier and Deputy Dustin Saylor arrested James Paul Bedwell age 33 of Jane Dr., Eubank, KY on KY 363 approximately 2 miles South of London on Wednesday evening March 9, 2021 at approximately 5:18 PM.
The arrest occurred after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of subjects walking along the roadway that appeared to be under the influence along McGill -Wyan Road.
Deputies were able to locate the individuals on nearby KY 363 and conducted an investigation learning that the male subject was wanted on outstanding warrants from Pulaski County, Garrard County, and Lincoln County.
In addition, during the investigation and arrest this individual was found in possession of:
- Five counterfeit $100 bills
- Six counterfeit $50 bills
In addition, this individual was found in possession of a crystal like substance believed to be Methamphetamine.
James Paul Bedwell was charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – Methamphetamine
In addition, this individual was charged on a Pulaski Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging:
- Possession of a Controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug paraphernalia
Also this individual was charged on a Lincoln District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Criminal mischief – first-degree
Also, this individual was charged on a Garrard District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Nonsupport
- Contempt of court
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
