LONDON, KY (December 30, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's investigators developed information on the whereabouts of Ashley Lewis and teamed up with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office to arrest Ashley B. Lewis age 30 of East Bernstadt on Tuesday night December 29, 2020 at approximately 8:56 P.M. off Sextons Creek in Clay County.
Lewis was taken into custody by the Clay County Sheriff's office who delivered her to waiting Laurel Sheriff's investigators who transported her to the Laurel County Sheriff's office for processing.
Ashley B. Lewis was charged with:
- Complicity to Commit Murder
The charge was regarding the murder of Jeremy Caldwell age 32 of Manchester, Ky on December 20, 2020 off Highway 490 approximately 5 miles north of London.
Another individual – Robert Brandon Gray age 39 of Keavy has already been arrested and charged with murder.
Ashley Lewis attempted to evade arrest but was located after Laurel Sheriff’s Investigators developed information on her whereabouts.
Ashley B. Lewis is lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
