LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy James Fox along with Deputy Landry Collett and Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Derek Tyler Mullins age 25 of Holly Grove Rd., Corbin early Friday morning August 28, 2020 at approximately 4:45 AM.
The arrest occurred at a motel in London off KY 192 after deputies responded to a drug complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies found this subject in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, and Xanax bars, a set of digital scales and a hypodermic needle.
Deputies learned through investigation that this subject was wanted on a parole violation warrant and another outstanding warrant.
Derek Tyler Mullins was charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a controlled substance – third-degree
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
In addition, this subject was charged on a Kentucky Parole Board parole violation warrant charging:
- Absconding parole supervision
- Failure to complete treatment for substance abuse
- Use of controlled substances – Methamphetamine
- Failure to report to parole officer as directed regarding a conviction in Laurel Circuit Court on charges of Promoting contraband – first-degree
Also, Mr. Mullins was charged on a Laurel District Court warrant of arrest charging:
- Theft by unlawful taking under $500
- Terroristic threatening third-degree regarding a case investigated by KSP Trooper Glenn Reed
Also arrested was: Conner Deible age 27 of Thornton Ave. Dayton, Ohio Charged on a Kenton Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Failure to appear in court on charges of: Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Cocaine
In addition, this subject was charged on a Campbell Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Failure to appear in court for arraignment on charges of: Burglary – second-degree
These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
