LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9 Deputy Gary Mehler along with Sgt. John Inman, Deputy Tommy Houston, and Deputy Kevin Berry arrested Charles N. Allen age 32 of KY 6, Corbin early Saturday morning August 1, 2020 at approximately 4:42 AM.
The arrest occurred off Westerfield Road, approximately 8 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of an intoxicated subject there trying to fight several people including a female juvenile.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies determined that this subject was under the influence and transported him to St. Joseph Hospital ER for treatment of some injuries sustained while attempting to fight individuals off Westerfield Road.
While in the emergency room this subject became disorderly by yelling and cursing and creating a disturbance there and following a brief struggle with deputies was placed in restraints while there.
Charles N. Allen was charged with:
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
- Menacing
- Resisting arrest
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
