Laurel County Sheriff John Root stated that drug investigations will be ongoing
LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root And Detective Taylor McDaniel along with Sheriff's detectives and deputies arrested seven individuals off Morentown Road, approximately 1 mile north of London on Friday afternoon July 17, 2020 at approximately 2:05 PM.
The arrests occurred following an investigation conducted into illegal drug activity there.
Sheriff's investigators found:
- Suspected Methamphetamine
- A set of scales
- Individual wanted on outstanding warrants related to drugs
- Individuals wanted on outstanding warrants
Those arrested were identified as:
Adam McQueen age 52 of Haley Ridge Rd., London charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- A Laurel County bench warrant charging failure to appear regarding charges of driving on a DUI suspended license – first offense
Tyler Jones age 23 of Chaney Ridge Rd., London charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
Ernest Wagers age 52 of Highway 490, East Bernstadt charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
Keera Asher age 19 of London charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Resisting arrest
- A Laurel County bench warrant charging failure to appear on public intoxication charges
- A Laurel County bench warrant charging failure to appear on charges of criminal trespass – first-degree
- Resisting arrest; contempt of court
Michael E. Holt age 33 of Old Crab Orchard Rd., London charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- A Laurel District Court bench warrant charging failure to comply with court ordered rehab regarding charges of possession of a controlled substance – third-degree
- Possession of Marijuana
- Disorderly conduct second-degree
Michael D. Holt age 34 of Evans Ln., London charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
Marvin Hatfield age 45 of London charged on a Clay District Court warrant of arrest charging:
- Theft by unlawful taking – firearm
- Theft by unlawful taking under $500
All seven individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
