LONDON, KY (June 13, 20220) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Lieut. Chris Edwards is conducting a death investigation regarding the death of an infant who was one month old and was found dead in bed by the infant’s mother and father 2 miles South of London at 7:00 AM Friday morning June 12, 2020.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Deputies assisting at the scene included Sgt. Brett Reeves, Deputy Brad Mink, Deputy Brent France, and Deputy Daniel Reed.
Lily Volunteer Fire Department assisted deputies at the scene.
Also assisting was Laurel County EMS and the Laurel County Coroner's office. Investigation is continuing by Lt. Chris Edwards, the lead investigator.
