LONDON, KY (June 10, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor along with Sgt. John Inman and Deputy Landry Collett arrested Calvin Dawayne Bowling age 41 of Farris Rd., London early Wednesday morning June 10, 2020 at approximately 5:17 AM.
The arrest occurred near a business off North Laurel Road approximately 1/2 mile north of London following a traffic stop conducted on a dark colored Chevrolet Malibu with a busted windshield and driving erratic there.
During the stop, the driver was determined to be operating on a DUI suspended operator's license.
In addition, during the investigation the driver was found in possession of:
- Suspected Methamphetamine
- Clear plastic distribution bags
- A snorting straw
- Two glass smoking pipes with residue
- A Glock pistol
- A large amount of U.S. currency
Calvin Dawayne Bowling was charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – Methamphetamine
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited
- Driving on DUI suspended license – first offense
- Obstructed windshield
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
