LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9 Deputy Jake Miller along with Deputy Brent France and Deputy Robert Reed arrested Della Kelly age 56 of Corbin on Sunday afternoon June 7, 2020 at approximately 2:00 PM.
The arrest occurred in Walmart’s parking lot in southern Laurel County after deputies were dispatched to a subject passed out in a car there.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they determined her to be under the influence stating that she may have a gun or knife in the car and was not going to get out and was going to use them to fight with the police.
During arrest this individual was found in possession of a large knife and was taken into custody without incident.
Della Kelly was charged with:
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
- Terroristic threatening – third-degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
