Probable COVID-19 Related Death Reported in Clay County, Ky. / Updates for Jackson and Rockcastle County

Manchester, KY (June 6, 2020) - The Cumberland Valley District Health Department reported on Thursday June 4, 2020 that: We are saddened today to report a second death where COVID19 is a contributing factor. The individual was a 73 year old male whose illness had been ruled as a “probable” case of COVID-19 due to exposure to a positive case and the symptoms he had developed.

Clay County Case information:

  • Total cases: 6 confirmed, 1 probable
  • Active cases: 3
  • Currently Hospitalized: 0
  • Recovered: 2
  • Deaths: 1 confirmed, 1 probable

There are no new cases of COVID-19 to report today in Jackson County or Rockcastle County. In Jackson County, we are very happy to report that the one remaining COVID positive resident is recovered. Currently, there are no active COVID-19 cases at Jackson Manor, and CVDHD joins Manor staff and the community in honoring the memory of those residents who succumbed to the virus and celebrating all who have recovered.
