LONDON, KY - (May 13, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Allen Turner arrested Virgil L. Whitaker age 51 of Evarts, KY on Tuesday evening May 12, 2020 at approximately 5:24 PM.
The arrest occurred off Lily Road, approximately 5 miles South of London after Deputy Turner was dispatched to a passed out person there.
It was reported that this individual was allegedly weed eating in a ditch line and had fallen multiple times.
Upon arrival at the scene,Deputy Turner conducted an investigation on the suspect determining that he was under the influence – This individual advised he had taken a double shot of liquor just prior to weed eating.
Virgil L. Whitaker was charged with:
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
