STINKING CREEK, KY - The Knox County Sheriff's Department is reporting that: On Sunday afternoon May 10, 2020 just after 4:00 PM Deputy Sam Mullins was patrolling the Hales Branch area of the Stinking Creek community in Knox County when he located a vehicle bearing out of state license plates sitting in the roadway.
Deputy Mullins found the vehicle to be occupied by Challis Davis of Flat Lick, KY who was sitting in the driver seat unconscious with the vehicle running, in drive.
After repeated attempts Deputy Mullins was finally able to wake Davis and remove him from the vehicle.
While removing Davis from the vehicle Marijuana and Methamphetamine were found in the seat between his legs.
Upon arrest and search another bag of Methamphetamine and various denominations of currency were found in Davis's pocket.
Davis was also found to be wanted for an Absconding Parole/Parole violation. He was was arrested and lodged in the Knox County Jail.
An undisclosed amount of drugs and cash were seized and being processed.
Challis Davis was charged with:
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance - 1st Degree, 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine)
- Trafficking in Marijuana 1st Offense
- No Operators License
- Serving Parole Violation Warrant
