Subject Directs Obscene Language Towards Uniformed Police Officers In Clay County, KY

MANCHESTER, KY (May 8, 2020) - The Clay County Sheriff's Office is reporting that: On Thursday, May 7, 2020 at approximately 4:00 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Coty Arnold along with Sheriff Patrick Robinson, CSO Supervisor Dewey Grubb and CSO Deputy Darrell Goins arrested Jeff Parsley, 59 of Nicholsville.

The arrest occurred while the Sheriff and Deputies were conducted daily roll call, when the above mentioned subject walked up to the uniformed officers and began using obscene language toward the units on scene.

Through investigation it was determined the subject was extremely under the influence of Alcohol.

Once being placed under arrest the subject became combative, following a brief struggle the subject was placed under arrest without further incident and processed into the Clay County Detention Center.

Jeffrey Parsley was charged with:

• Alcohol Intoxication in Public Place
• Resisting arrest
• Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree
