Operator arrested at scene of severe injury ATV crash on Hal Rogers Parkway in southeast, Kentucky

MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on April 19, 2020 at approximately 1:30 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Wes Brumley along with Deputy Kendric Smith and Deputy Jared Smith arrested William George, 35 of London.

The arrest occurred when Deputies responded to an ATV accident on the Hal Rogers Parkway.

Upon arrival, Deputies noted a female passenger that had been severely injured during the accident.

Through investigation it was determined the subject was under the influence of Alcohol. Once the subject was told he was under arrested he attempted to resist. He was placed under arrest without further incident.

The female passenger received extreme damage to her foot which resulted in the loss of the extremity.

William George was charged with:

• Operating Motor vehicle under the influence of ALC/DRUGS/ETC
• Assault 1st Degree
• All Terrain Vehicle Violation
• Resisting Arrest
