Drugs found after driver crashes into auto dealership's vehicles in Clay County, KY

 DIRT ROAD SUSPECTS 4 14 20

MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on April 14, 2020 at approximately 7:45 Am Clay County Sheriff Deputy Paul Michael Whitehead along with Chief Deputy Clifton Jones, CSO Supervisor Dewey Grubb, CSO Deputy Darrell Goins, CSO Deputy Shawn Curry and Public Affairs Officer Trent Baker arrested 3 individuals during a Hit and Run complaint investigation.

Arrested was:

  • Travis Sullivan, 23 of Waddy, KY
  • Alexius Sizemore, 19 of Coal Hollow
  • William Coty Abner, 29 of Morgan Branch

The arrests occurred when Deputies received a complaint of a Hit and Run accident on North Highway 421 involving numerous cars parked at Dirt Road Auto Sales.

Upon arrival, Deputies located the above mentioned subjects walking along side North Highway 421.

Through investigation it was determined the male subject that was operating the motor vehicle drove off the side of the road and struck multiple parked vehicles and then along with two passengers exited and left the scene of the accident with no intent to notify emergency personnel and owners.

Through a search of the female passenger, an assortment of controlled substances was located along with drug paraphernalia. 

Travis Sullivan was charged with:

• Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of ALC/DRUGS/ETC.
• Leaving the scene of an Accident Failure to Render Aid

Alexius Sizemore was charged with:

• Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
• Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Drug Unspecified)
• Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
• Leaving the scene of an Accident Failure to Render Aid

William Coty Abner was charged with:

• Leaving the Scene of an Accident Failure to Render Aid
