Driver found in Possession of Hypodermic Needles and a Controlled Substance

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Josh Morgan along with Deputy Robert Reed arrested James W. Reynolds age 35 of London on Thursday morning March 19, 2020 at approximately 9:34 AM.

The arrest occurred off Highway 229, approximately 2 miles South of London following a traffic stop conducted on a black Pontiac Grand Am.

During the traffic stop the driver was determined to be under the influence.

In addition, during investigation this subject was found in possession of hypodermic needles and a bottle containing a controlled substance.

James W. Reynolds was charged with:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
  • Failure to signal
  • Failure to produce insurance card
  • No operator's license
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of a controlled substance

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
