DUI arrest at accident scene in Clay County

MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on March 1, 2020 at approximately 4:28 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Wes Brumley arrested Crystal Reid, 37 of Rawlings Road.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Brumley was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Lower Rader Road.

Upon contact with the subject, she refused treatment from Clay County EMS.

Through investigation it was determined the subject was operating the vehicle under the influence when the accident occurred.

It was noted that the above mentioned subject then admitted to Deputy Brumley and other personnel on scene that she had taken controlled substances and smoked Marijuana earlier this date prior to operating the motor vehicle. 

Crystal Reid was charged with:

• Operating Motor Vehicle under The influence of ALC/DRUGS/ETC.
• Failure to Produce Insurance Card
• Instructional Permit Violations
