LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Allen Turner along with Deputy Hunter Disney and Deputy Jamie Etherton arrested Jared Malicoat age 29 of East Bernstadt on Saturday evening February 29, 2020 at approximately 6 PM.
The arrest occurred off Jackson Road, approximately 6 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a fight complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies observed this individual fighting a male subject.
When The suspect observed deputies arrival at the scene, he attempted to flee and following a scuffle with deputies was taken into custody.
Deputies learned that this individual had allegedly broken out all the windows of a van there. The suspect was also determined to be under the influence.
Jared Malicoat was charged with:
- Assault – 4th degree
- Criminal mischief – third-degree
- Resisting arrest
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
