Philpot Lane resident arrested during Traffic Stop / Clay County

MANCHESTER, KY (January 3, 2020) - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On Friday, January 3, 2020 at approximately 01:40 AM Clay County Deputy Wes Brumley arrested Matthew Hacker, 23 of Philpot Lane.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Brumley conducted a traffic stop on Highway 687.

Upon contact with the driver, Deputy Brumley noted a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from the driver.

Deputy Brumley conducted an investigation and determined the subject was under the influence. The driver admitted to consuming multiple alcoholic beverages prior to operating the motor vehicle.

Matthew Hacker was charged with:

• Rear License Not Illuminated
• No Operator-Moped License
• Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alc/Drugs/Etc.
