Laurel Deputy locates woman asleep inside stolen vehicle

Laurel County, Ky. (December 24, 2019) - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Charlie Johnson arrested Jessica D. Conder age 38 of London on Sunday morning December 22, 2019 at approximately 8:58 AM.

The arrest occurred on Topton Road, approximately 6 miles South of London after Deputy Johnson was dispatched to a complaint of a possible reported stolen vehicle broke down on the side of the roadway there.

Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Johnson located a maroon colored Pontiac Grand Prix at the intersection of Topton Road and Highway 552.

Deputy Johnson located Jessica Conder asleep in the front seat. This subject advised that a male subject was driving the vehicle whenever it broke down and he had left to get help and told her to stay with the vehicle.

Jessica Conder was charged with:

  • Receiving stolen property under $10,000

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
