Madison County Sheriff's Deputies Injured in Vehicle Collision

RICHMOND, KY. (November 15, 2019) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was contacted just after 11:00 this morning in reference to an injury collision on I-75 North at the 88 mile-marker.

The initial investigation indicates Deputies were conducting a traffic stop, when a white 2019 Jeep Compass operated by Jimmy Hoskins, 34 years old of Pineville, veered into the right shoulder, striking the rear driver side of a cruiser and a white Ford pickup. The two Deputies were transported to Baptist Health where they were treated and released.

Jimmy Hoskins along with multiple passengers were transported to University of Kentucky Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Jimmy Hoskins was cited for:

  • Failure to Give Right Of Way to Emergency Vehicle
  • Failure to Maintain Required Insurance
  • Several other traffic related offenses

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 7 Trooper Albert Lagrange. He was assisted on scene by KSP Post 7 personnel, Madison County Sheriff's Office, Richmond Police Department, Richmond Fire Department and Madison County EMS.
