“Snowman” arrested during undercover drug investigation in Knox County

BARBOURVILLE, KY (October 12, 2019) - The Knox County Sheriff's Department is reporting that: On Monday, October 7, 2019 Knox County Deputies arrested James E. Martin “Snowman” age 73 of Gray, KY.

This arrest was the result of an undercover drug investigation conducted by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

James E. Martin “Snowman”  was charged on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for:

  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree

James Martin was out on bond since his arrest on August 23, 2018 for charges of:

  • Six counts of Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon

The October 7th arrest violated his bond and two Knox County Bench Warrants were issued.

On Wednesday, October 9, 2019 the two bench warrants were served on James Martin who is still incarcerated the Knox County Detention Center.
