Leslie County, Ky. (September 5, 2019) - The Leslie County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that: On Wednesday, September 4th a search warrant was executed by the Leslie County Sheriff,s Office led by Chief Deputy Jeremy Vega. In assistance was Sheriff Billy Collett, Deputy Kyle Crisp, Special Deputy Sam Roberts and a Fish & Wildlife unit. The warrant came after a tip of high traffic and drug activity.
The search warrant occurred at the residence of Scott Hazlett of Rockhouse just a few miles outside of Hyden. Scott Hazlett was searched and on his person had possession of Marijuana, 28 Xanax pills, 5 Suboxone pills, 2 Oxycodone pills and $976 dollars. Also inside the home digital scales, several zip lock baggies, 3gm of Crystal Methamphetamine and syringes were located.
Sitting at the kitchen table was Donald Hazlett of Frankfort, Kentucky. He was searched and on his person was found $14,492 dollars and 58 Hydrocodone pills. Within close reach was also a set of digital scales with white residue and a glass pipe.
Chris Jones of Thousandsticks was also inside the home. He was searched and on his person was $36 dollars, 3 syringes.
Frank Collett of Hyden was searched and on his person was found $120. This subject was attempting to hide a bottle of Hydrocodone pills. The prescription was filled the same day and had 32 pills missing from the bottle.
Johnny Tinnel of Hoskinston was inside the home. He was searched and had in his possession 5 Xanax pills.
Henry Smith of Hyden was searched and on his person was 8 hydrocodone pills.
All of these people were inside a home where 3gm of Crystal Methamphetamine was found. A total of $15,574.00 was seized.

Donald Hazlett, 57 was charged with:
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, methamphetamine >2gm
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 1st offense
- Drug Paraphernalia
Christopher Jones, 37 was charged with:
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, methamphetamine >2gm
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 1st offense
- Drug paraphernalia
Frank Collett, 49 was charged with:
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, methamphetamine >2gm*

Johnny Tinnel, 35 was charged with:
