LONDON, KY ( August 25, 2019) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Earlier this month a resident of Italy visited the Laurel County Sheriff's Office.
Leticia along with her family visited the Sheriff's Office on Friday afternoon August 2nd, 2019.
Deputy Gilbert Acciardo displayed a police cruiser and talked with her about his duties as a Deputy Sheriff. This was the first time Leticia had ever spoken with a law enforcement officer in the United States.
Sheriff John Root stated that he appreciates opportunities like this that allow his deputies to interact with the public.
