Clay County, Ky. - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on August 21, 2019 at approximately 7:30 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Dennis Beckner, 73 of Lipps Branch Road.
The arrest occurred when Deputy Houston was dispatched to a complaint of a Silver Pickup driving reckless on the Hal Rogers Parkway.
Deputy Houston made contact with the vehicle and activated his emergency lights, at that time the driver continued approximately another mile before finally coming to a stop on Highway 80.
Deputy Houston made contact with the driver and through investigation it was determined that the subject was manifestly under the influence.
Dennis Beckner was charged with:
- Operating Motor Vehicle under the Influence of ALC/DRUGS/ETC.
- Failure to wear Seat Belt
