Clay County, KY - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on August 4, 2019 at approximately 11:30 AM Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones along with Clay County CSO Coty Arnold arrested 3 individuals while on patrol.
Arrested was:
• Charles Hill, 23 of Wagon Fork
• Brandon Smith, 19 of Nolan Lane
• Savannah Durham, 22 of Cool Springs
The arrests occurred when Chief Deputy Jones and CSO Deputy Arnold were patrolling Crane Creek Road when they observed two male individuals next to an ATV at the junction of Crane Creek Road and Wagon Fork Road.
Through investigation it was determined that both subjects were under the influence of intoxicants, upon search Deputies located assortment of illegal substances on the persons of both individuals.
Also, Chief Deputy Jones located an altered defaced firearm on the ATV.
While transporting both individuals to Clay County Detention Center, Chief Deputy Jones observed a female extremely unsteady on her feet on the side of North Highway 11. Through investigation it was determined the female was under the influence of intoxicants.
Charles Hill was charged with:
- Prescription of Controlled substance not in Original Container 1st
- Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (Drug Unspecified)
- Possession of Defaced Firearm
- Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
Brandon Smith was charged with:
- Possession of Marijuana
- Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
- Possession of Defaced Firearm
- Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
Savannah Durham was charged with:
- Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
