Complaint leads to arrest for Assault & other charges / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on July 30, 2019 at approximately 8:20 AM Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones arrested Gary Barger, 34 of Highway 472.

The arrest occurred when Chief Deputy Jones was dispatched to a complaint on Highway 472 of a male subject that had been in a physical altercation with land owners.

Upon arrival Chief Deputy Jones located the subject asleep on a picnic table on the property after he had been told to leave the address previously.

The subject was arrested without further incident. 

Gary Barger was charged with:

  • Assault, 4th Degree
  • Serving Bench Warrant for Court
  • Criminal Trespassing, 2nd Degree
