Suspicious vehicle in driveway investigation / Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Gary Mehler along with his K-9 “Edge” arrested Jonette L. Fitzpatrick age 51 of Bourne Ave., Somerset early Sunday morning July 28, 2019 approximately 2 AM.

The arrest occurred off Highway 312 approximately 9 miles South London after Deputy Mehler was dispatched to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in a driveway there.

The homeowner advised that two people were outside the vehicle in the yard there.

When Deputy Mehler arrived at the scene he located a green Chevrolet Trailblazer and conducted investigation. One of the two individuals there ---a female subject, repeatedly gave a false name, false date of birth, and false Social Security number to Deputy Mehler even after being warned.

Upon further investigation after some ID was found in the vehicle, the female subject was determined to be wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Pulaski County.

In addition, this subject was found in possession of three hypodermic needles one of which was uncapped.

Jonette L. Fitzpatrick was charged with:

  • Giving officer false identifying information
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • A Pulaski Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging five counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument – second-degree

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
