Clay County, Ky. - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on June 27, 2019 at approximately 12:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Curtis Hatfield, 42 of Mill Creek Church Road.
The arrest occurred when Deputy Houston observed the subject staggering in the middle of the roadway while patrolling Highway 80.
Upon contact with the subject he attempted to toss a loaded syringe away from him, Deputy Houston determined the subject was manifestly under the influence with obvious signs of prior usage of a syringe due to bleeding track marks located on the subject.
Curtis Hatfield was charged with:
- Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
- Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
