LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s court security officer James Alewine and CSO Judy Morgan arrested Misty Sue Caldwell age 36 of Stinnett, KY on Friday morning June 21, 2019 at approximately 10:30 AM.
The arrest occurred at the Laurel County Judicial Center in London after this subject attempted to enter at the Sheriff’s office security checkpoint and was determined to be under the influence – this subject admitted taking Suboxone and Neurontin.
This subject also had four juvenile children with her.
Misty Sue Caldwell was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Four counts of wanton endangerment
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Corrections Center.
Social services was called to place the children.
At approximately 1:00 PM, Eric Jones, husband to Misty Sue Caldwell came to the Laurel County Sheriff’s office to check on the children at the Laurel County Sheriff’s office and deputies noted that this subject had slurred speech, was unsteady on his feet, and admitted taking Suboxone earlier and was determined to be under the influence by deputies at the Sheriff’s office.
Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Gilbert Acciardo arrested Eric Jones age 40 of London.
This subject was also lodged in the Laurel County Corrections Center.

*Social Services was called to the sheriff's office, and they placed the children with other family members.
