Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrests 2 while patrolling Keith Lane

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on June 21, 2019 at approximately 11:30 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Edwards arrested Ray Rawlings, 63 of Upper Rader Road and Suzann Curry, 30 of Ice House Road.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Edwards was patrolling Keith Lane, Deputy Edwards conducted a traffic stop due to vehicle infractions.

Upon contact with the driver, Deputy Edwards conducted an investigation at which time he determined the subject was under the influence of intoxicants.

Through confirmation with Clay County Dispatch it was shown the driver had a suspended operator license for prior DUI'S.

The information of the passenger was ran, where it showed she had two active warrants through District Court. The photos attached are courtesy of the Clay County Detention Center.

Ray Rawlings was charged with:

• Operating Motor vehicle under the influence of ALC/DRUGS/ETC.
• No Tail Lamps
• Driving on DUI Suspended License
• Improper Equipment

Suzann Curry was charged with:

• Serving Bench Warrant for Court
• Serving Bench Warrant for Court
