London man accused of trading stolen property for Drugs

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards along with Detective Bryon Lawson and Detective Daniel Grigsby arrested a London resident on Thursday afternoon March 21, 2019 at approximately 2:06 PM.

Arrested was:

John E. Lewis age 44 of Falls Street, London, Ky.

The arrest occurred in London following an investigation conducted by the Laurel County Sheriff’s office regarding the alleged theft of several bundles of house shingles from a home construction site on Sally’s Branch Road.

Lewis admitted taking the shingles to a neighboring county where he traded the shingles for Crystal Methamphetamine.

John E. Lewis was charged with theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but under $10,000 and remains lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
