Unknown suspect discards dozens of used Hypodermic Needles in Manchester roadway

MANCHESTER, KY (March 19, 2019) - The Clay County Sheriff's Office is reporting that: On Monday March 18, 2019 Manchester Police Officer Tabert Napier and Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson were dispatched to a call by Clay County 911 of needles thrown out on the 2nd Street Bridge.

Upon arrival Sheriff Robinson and Officer Napier discovered approximately 50 used needles scattered across the bridge.

Officers picked the needles up and disposed of them properly.

Sheriff Robinson stated: "It is unknown at this time who would do this but when this person is found they will be facing criminal charges."
