Complaint of vehicle involving illegal drugs leads to 3 arrests / Clay county

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On March 11, 2019 at approximately 5:00 PM Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones along with CSO Supervisor Dewey Grubb and CSO Coty Arnold responded to a complaint of a maroon colored car on Jacks Branch Road involving illegal drugs.

Upon arrival Chief Deputy Jones made contact with the maroon colored vehicle on Jacks Branch Road, Chief Deputy Jones initiated a traffic stop for vehicle infractions.

Inside the vehicle Deputies located Teresa Taylor age 41 of Oneida, John Dixon age 38 of McKee,  and Timothy Davidson age 59 of Manchester.

When Deputies asked the driver to step out of the vehicle Chief Deputy Jones observed a pistol under the leg of the driver.

When they searched the other occupants of the vehicle they was also in possession of firearms.

After running the information of the guns through Clay County 911, the gun that was hidden under the leg of the driver came back stolen out of California.

Inside the vehicle Deputies located drug paraphernalia, a gun, illegal narcotics and other illegal substances.

Once at the Clay County Detention Center, Deputy Jailer Samantha Ealy located in or on the person of the female subject a zip lock bag of suspected crystal methamphetamine.

Assisting at the scene was Kentucky State Trooper Logan Wolfe.

Teresa Taylor (Driver) was charged with:

  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
  • Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
  • Illegal Possession of Legend Drug
  • Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified)
  • Receiving Stolen Property
  • Promoting Contraband 1st Degree
  • John Dixon (passenger) was charged with:

  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
  • Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
  • Illegal Possession of Legend Drug
  • Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified)
  • Timothy Davidson (passenger) was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
  • Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified)
