Brandishing a Firearm complaint lands London man behind bars on multiple charges

CORBIN, KY - The Knox County Sheriff's Department is reporting that: On Sunday March 10, 2019 at approximately 5:00 AM Knox County Deputies Bobby Jones and Hunter Luttrell responded to a complaint of a man brandishing a firearm and threatening to kill everyone at a party at a residence on Right Fork East Creek Road in Corbin.

After contacting the individuals involved, the deputies arrested 22 year Shaquille Lavarius Williams of London, KY charging him with:

  • 8 counts of Wanton Endangerment-1st Degree
  • During the arrest Williams became combative toward the deputies and was then charged with:

  • Resisting Arrest
  • Escape-3rd Degree
  • Assault-3rd Degree-Police Officer
  • Terroristic Threatening-3rd Degree
  • Menacing and Disorderly Conduct-2nd Degree
  • Shaquille Williams was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center. He is being held on a $20,000 total cash bond.

    While at the residence, the deputies learned that juveniles were present and had consumed alcohol.

    The party host, 20 year old Jordan Smith of Corbin, KY was cited to court and charged with:

  • 6 counts of Unlawful Transaction with a Minor
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • A juvenile present at the party was also charged with:

  • Possession of Marijuana
